2006 Cayman S - bore scoping found minor scoring... walk away?

looking at a 987.1 Cayman S. €14,000. did a cylinder inspection and found minor scoring in cylinder 6. compression is fine. rebuild cost is scary. what would you do?

Did you check the oil filter for metallic debris? If cylinder 6 has visual scoring, da piston skirt coatings r already wearing off.

walk away. bore scoring on the m97 engine is a progressive disease. once it starts, it will eventually lose compression and start burning oil heavily. 📈😭😭

get a 987.2 with the 9A1 engine, no bore scoring issues there

bore scoring is a dealbreaker on 987.1 models. walk tbh away 🏎️
